Abstract
<jats:p>SUMMARY This article presents, for the first time, the warm and trusting relationship between Archag Tchobanian (1872–1954)—a writer, publicist, philologist, translator, and public figure— and Yeghishe Tourian (1860–1930), a prominent Armenian church leader, philologist, and writer, who served as the Armenian Patriarch of the Holy See of Jerusalem from 1921 to 1930. These two outstanding representatives of the Armenian intellectual elite were bound by spiritual closeness and shared worldviews and literary interests, rooted both in mutual affection and in profound reflection on the fate of the Armenian people. Particular attention is paid to their epistolary legacy, which reveals touching episodes of personal friendship and vivid examples of national, literary, and spiritual kinship.</jats:p>
