Abstract

<jats:p>In the twenty-first century there is a remarkable shift in the life sciences due to simultaneous meeting between artificial intelligence (AI) and biology, biotechnology, biodiversity science, and ecology. This convergence has created a new model Bio-Intelligence where intelligent computational systems do not just examine biological data but positively influence discovery, prediction and decision-making throughout the life. Since the decoding of genomes and plant-based therapeutic designs to ecosystems and biodiversity conservation in the environment stressed by climate change, AI has become an essential facilitator of smart and sustainable biological innovation. The Age of Bio-Intelligence: AI-Driven Frontiers in Biotechnology, Biodiversity, and Ecology is an organized and prospective study of this new field. The book connects the theoretical concepts and the practical case studies by combining the progress with machine learning, deep learning, big data analytics, internet of things, and digital twins with biology and ecology. It is focused on sustainability, ethical care and translational effects especially where global issues like climate change, food security, loss of biodiversity and human health are concerned.
