Abstract

In this article, in the form of a conceptual model, the expected benefits of the psychosocioengineering (PSE) principle «peer-to-peer» (P2P) are demonstrated using the example of integrating «peer-to-peer» specialists into the structure of a rehabilitation multidisciplinary team (MDT) of a healthcare institution, which determines the relevance of this study. The integration of «peer-to-peer» specialists into the work of MDTs is currently not widespread even among private initiatives, and even less so regulated at the state level, which defines the general problem statement. The proposed model is based on an analysis of studies on one of the psychosocioengineering principles of communication – «peer-to-peer». The principle is suggested to be implemented both through the construction of structural connections («radial» structure of communication nodes) and in the qualitative composition of personnel (combat veterans), which, through forecasting, provides a concept for a scientific solution to the problem. The concept graphically demonstrates the expected advantages of integrating precisely the radial structure of «peer-to-peer» specialists into the structure of multidisciplinary teams in healthcare and psychosocial rehabilitation institutions for combat veterans. The inclusion of specialists specifically from the veteran community organically complements the conceptual model, in accordance with the logic of the «P2P» principle itself. The purpose of constructing this integrative model is to create conditions for the post-traumatic recovery and growth of veterans affected by combat actions. In the current conditions of war with Russian occupiers, Ukraine geographically, politically, and economically has no territories or social groups untouched by the war. Active or former combatants continue temporary or permanent reintegration into society. Accordingly, the practical solution to the problem is the integration of veterans as specialists into the rehabilitation process, with the aim of: within the framework of post-traumatic recovery – creating a safe resource space in which defenders of the country, burdened by traumatic experiences, upon returning from war, can receive specialized assistance based on trust and understanding of their problems from the perspective of similar experienced paths; within the framework of post-traumatic growth – facilitating the veteran in securing a dignified position upon final return from war. Additionally, this is the creation of a job that will allow the unique experience and skills of a veteran to receive a civilian continuation, harmoniously reintegrate the bearers of this experience into society, and form a community of «peers» around the rehabilitation process. The most pressing challenge of today, the significance of which will only continue to grow. The novelty is justified by the fact that supplementing the rehabilitation team with specialists according to the psychosocioengineering principle «P2P» provides a person with combat experience the opportunity to feel safe among peers, restore their personal resources, recognize their new skills and life goals, reduce stress levels, and gain motivation to be effective and economically capable, which allows addressing specific issues of the general problem.
