<jats:p>Efforts to establish a sustainable food security system have been undertaken throughout history at the global, national, and individual levels. However, this issue remains highly relevant today; despite ongoing global advancements, millions of people worldwide continue to struggle with hunger on a daily basis. The situation concerning food security is further exacerbated by global challenges, including climate change, armed conflicts, fluctuating global food prices, and the unequal distribution of resources across different regions and countries. The purpose of this article is to identify developmental trends in food security and to propose a set of measures aimed at resolving food security issues at both the global and local levels. To achieve this objective, the research examines the concept of "food security," identifies the factors influencing it, and studies the methodology used to calculate the Global Hunger Index. Furthermore, it analyzes several global food security indicators and presents recommendations for strengthening the food security system. The study employs historical, logical-analytical, comparative, and statistical methods, along with principles of induction, deduction, and abstraction. The article reviews the findings of various researchers and international organizations regarding this topic. Through the analysis of statistical data, the developmental trends of the food security system are presented globally, as well as at the level of individual continents and countries. The primary findings of the research, along with the corresponding recommendations, are detailed in the "Analysis" section of the article.</jats:p>
