Об асимметрии в резонансном рассеянии Капицы–Дирака

<jats:p>In some experiments, atomic scattering by a standing wave of laser pulses revealed an asymmetric angular distribution. Subsequent theoretical analysis showed that pre-excitation of an atom causes asymmetry in its scattering by the standing wave, which, according to the authors, is the cause of the experimentally observed asymmetry. In this paper, we demonstrate that the asymmetry of an atom is antisymmetric with respect to the phase of its initial state. Consequently, the averaging that occurs in the multi-atom detecting experiments suppresses any possibility in the scattering pattern. In our opinion, the question of asymmetry remains open.</jats:p>
