Abstract

<jats:p>The possibility of developing a quasi-monoenergetic 24 keV neutron source for neutron detector calibration based on the 124Sb–9Be system was investigated. In this system, γ-rays emitted during the decay of 124Sb induce photonuclear reactions in beryllium, producing neutrons with energies close to 24 keV.</jats:p>
