A review on neuropsychological assessment of cognitive domains in children, <b>Обзор методов и результатов нейропсихологического</b> <b>обследования когнитивных функций у детей</b>

<jats:p>Background: This study examined the relative contributions of general cognitive abilities. Neuropsychological assessment (NA) of cognitive domains (CDs) plays a crucial role in understanding early childhood development, as the assessment of these domains provides valuable insights into brain function. Aim: This study aimed to highlight the use of neuropsychological assessments and to identify the cognitive domains most commonly evaluated in studies involving children and child development. Methods: Following the guidelines for systematic reviews and meta-analyses, we searched PubMed, OpenAlex, and Google Scholar, identifying 1,700 articles for screening based on the predefined inclusion criteria. The methodological quality of the included studies was evaluated with respect to neuropsychological assessment and cognitive domains, and relevant data were systematically extracted. Results: Of the 1,700 articles identified, 69 met the inclusion criteria and were included in the final analysis. The age groups and cognitive domains assessed in each study were analyzed to provide an overall synthesis of current research.</jats:p>
