Abstract

<jats:p>The scientific and theoretical, educational and methodical manual is devoted to a comprehensive consideration of medical and pharmaceutical ethics, bioethics, deontology, patient rights and legal principles of professional activity in the field of healthcare. The publication systematizes the theoretical foundations of ethics, reveals the principles of humanism, respect, confidentiality, informed consent, and professional responsibility, analyzes international and national regulatory documents regulating the ethical behavior of medical and pharmaceutical workers. Special attention is paid to practical aspects of professional interaction in the doctor-patient-pharmacist triad, algorithms for ethical decision-making, analysis of typical conflict and discriminatory situations, the limits of confidentiality and legal grounds for processing medical information in the conditions of digitalization of the healthcare system and martial law. The manual contains interactive elements, cases for discussion, ethical response models and recommendations for the development of a specialist's ethical culture. The purpose of the publication is to increase competence in ethical issues that are mandatory areas of continuous professional development in the healthcare sector, in particular, the formation of empathy, prevention of professional burnout, strengthening professional responsibility and development of ethical communication skills. The manual is intended for medical, pharmaceutical specialties, specialties of professionals and specialists in the healthcare sector, and can also be used in the system of undergraduate and postgraduate education, during seminars, trainings, and programs of continuous professional development.</jats:p>
