Ձորագետի կիրճի քարայր-ճգնարանները

<jats:p>In the medieval Armenian historiography, many references to hermits and deser-ters have been preserved. Beginning in the 5th century, Armenian historians mentioned this phenomenon, citing dozens of facts. Hermitage and eremite became a subject of study in the 20th century, but there is no documented analysis of this movement. Meanwhile, many pre-served monuments testify to the widespread use of asceticism and hermitage. Among these monuments, a large number are caves (deserts), about which no research has been con-ducted to date.</jats:p>
