<jats:p>This article presents a comparative study of the economic adaptation of displaced Syrian Armenians and Artsakh Armenians settled in Armenia. The research aims to examine how the pre-displacement socio-economic environment and the nature of human capital shape employment structures and patterns of economic integration in the host society. The theoretical framework draws upon theories of human capital transferability, ethnic enclaves, and labor market segmentation. The study employs a quantitative comparative methodology based on semi-structured surveys. Socio-economic indicators of Syrian Armenians and Artsakh Armenians were compared two years after their displacement to Armenia (2014 and 2025, respectively). The main analytical indicators include employment status, sectoral distribution, occupational matching, and satisfaction with income. Analysis: The comparative analysis was conducted from the perspective of the type and transferability of pre-displacement human capital, assessing both the structural and subjective dimensions of economic integration. The findings indicate that the economic integration of Syrian Armenians has largely occurred through self-employment and participation in the private sector, enabling the preservation of their entrepreneurial and professional capital. In contrast, the integration of Artsakh Armenians has primarily relied on wage employment, often accompanied by occupational deskilling and concentration in the secondary labor m arket. The study demonstrates that the success of economic adaptation among both groups is determined less by ethnic or cultural affinity than by the transferability of pre-displacement human capital and the institutional opportunities available within the receiving environment.</jats:p>
