Սրբուհի Տյուսաբը և հայ բարեգործական ընկերությունները/Srbuhi Tyusab and armenian charities

<jats:p>Srbuhi Tyusab is the first Armenian woman-novelist. The core of her work and activity was the issues of women's emancipation: socio-economic, charitable, legal, educational, political, and national consciousness, their manifestations and protection. The aim of the study is the scientific systemization of the multi-layered material “Srbuhi Tyusab and Armenian Charities”, which is impoprtant from the angle of the development and course of the history of the Armenian literature. The problem of the study is to shed light on Srbuhi Tyusab's social, charitable and sponsorship activities based on factual and documentary materials. The actuality of the study lies in its interdisciplinarity, according to which the material was analyzed in the context of mutual connections between literary studies, history and philosophy. Biographical, historical-comparative and phenomenological methods were used. Participating in the activities of charities founded in Constantinople, being involved as an active member and chairwoman, Tyusab organized fundraisers, performances, and exhibitions, thus contributing to the progress and development of the nation and the recovery of charities from crisis. This kind of study has been attempted for the first time. It is important and actual not only in terms of interdisciplinarity, but also in terms of the analysis of women’s issues in Armenian Studies.</jats:p>
