Abstract
<jats:p>This article discusses the role of the prosecutor’s office in the system of state power through the analysis of scientific research materials of scientists. In particular, the opinions of Russian, Chinese, and Uzbek legal scholars shed light on the issue of which branch of power the prosecutor’s office belongs to. At the same time, the legal status of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Uzbekistan is analyzed. Also, the powers of the prosecutor’s office in the Constitution, its right to legislative initiative, its role in exercising state control, and the issue of state prosecution, that is, participation in the criminal process, are substantiated by the opinions of scientists. It is stated on the basis of scientific sources that the role of the prosecutor’s office in the system of state power in international law is different.</jats:p>
