<jats:p>The article presents the materials and results of the study conducted by the authors with the support of the grant of the Russian Science Foundation “Methods for integrating historical building zones and preserving cultural heritage sites in the context of the development of modern cities in northeast China”. The article examines the multifaceted process of interaction between Western European, Russian and Chinese architectural traditions, one of the manifestations of which was the formation of an original movement, which has received the name “Chinese Baroque” in modern scientific literature and found vivid expression in the development of Harbin’s satellite city, Fujiadian.</jats:p>
