ԷԹՆՈՆԻՄՆԵՐԻՑ ԿԱԶՄՎԱԾ ԴԱՐՁՎԱԾՔՆԵՐԻ ԵՎ ԱՍԱՑՎԱԾՔՆԵՐԻ ԻՄԱՍՏԱԲԱՆԱԿԱՆ ԱՌԱՆՁՆԱՀԱՏԿՈՒԹՅՈՒՆՆԵՐԸ ԹՈՒՐՔԵՐԵՆՈՒՄ

<jats:p>This article examines Turkish idioms and proverbs that refer to various nations, peoples, and non-Muslim communities. It presents numerous examples of idioms and proverbs containing racist and discriminatory connotations directed at different ethnic groups. Based on the analysis of the selected examples, the study argues that negative attitudes toward other peoples and religious communities in Ottoman/Turkish discourse were shaped both by historical circumstances and by ethnocentric and racist tendencies embedded in the sociocultural worldview of Ottoman/Turkish society.</jats:p>
