Abstract
The system of expressing spatial relations is complex and multi-layered in the Karabakh dialect. This system has developed from the necessity of precise linguistic expression of space and relations associated with it, which ensures not only the description of the placement of objects and phenomena, but also reflects the ways of perceiving and constructing the world through language. Spatial relations in language are reflected in diverse forms - from lexical units denoting place and direction to orientational and positional concepts, which are different yet not isolated, complementing each other and jointly building the picture of spatial relations description in the dialect. The present article examines lexical units used in the Karabakh dialect to express spacial boundaries and the structural organization of place. The analysis is based on the semantic and functional characterization of the identified units and aims to reveal how these linguistic means express spatial relations, what semantic and functional features they acquire in the dialectal environment, and how dialectal linguistic thinking segments and structures space. A comprehensive examination of the selected lexical group demonstrates that these units, which form part of the vocabulary of the Karabakh dialect, are valuable for the study of the linguistic representation of spatial concepts, the structural perception of space, and the regional, cultural, and cognitive characteristics of dialect speakers.
