Grammaticalising Have-perfects in Their Balkan and European Context

<jats:p>This paper aims to examine the degree of grammaticalisation of have-perfects in Bulgarian in the context of language contact, focusing on their prevalence in the Balkans and in Europe more widely. Attempts are made to trace the spread of have-perfects from west to east based on authentic language data.</jats:p>
