<jats:p>This article analyzes the wastewater treatment process as a control object and develops its mathematical model. During the research, the main stages of wastewater treatment, their dynamic characteristics, and sensitivity to external disturbances were studied. For effective process control, the key parameters and their interrelationships were identified and expressed in the form of mathematical equations. The proposed model makes it possible to predict system behavior, develop control algorithms, and improve process efficiency. The obtained results are of significant importance for the implementation of automated control systems in wastewater treatment facilities.</jats:p>
