Abstract
<jats:p>Среди множества канонических ответов, данных митрополитом Иоанном черноризцу Иакову, присутствует запрет клирикам служить без «повеления» своего (местного) епископа. При всей самоочевидной каноничности святительского требования вызывает вопрос о том, что послужило причиной для введения данной нормы. Скорее всего Канонические ответы отразили нестроения и проблемы, которые имели место в жизни Русской церкви, а точнее Киевской епископии (городского округа, непосредственно подчинённого митрополиту). Рассматриваемое требование митрополита, с одной стороны, очень точно соответствовало литургическим традициям Византии, с другой стороны, было призвано каким-то образом повлиять на бесконтрольное совершение служб. Среди причин, приводивших к такой специфической ситуации в области литургического служения, особого внимания заслуживает богослужебная практика этого времени, не предполагавшая использование антиминсов. Такая традиция существенно ограничивала влияние правящих архиереев на клириков своей области.</jats:p> <jats:p>In the Canonical answers of Metropolitan John to monk Jacob there is a prohibition for clergy to serve without the “command” of their (local) bishop. While this requirement is completely canonically obvious, it is not entirely clear what the reason for including this norm in the Metropolitan’s answers was. The answers are most likely to have reflected the troubles and problems of the life of the Russian Church, or rather the Kyiv bishopric (an urban district directly subordinate to the metropolitan). The metropolitan’s demand in question, on the one hand, exactly corresponded to the liturgical traditions of Byzantium, while on the other hand, it was meant to somehow influence the uncontrolled performance of the services. Among the reasons leading to this, the liturgical practice of not using antimensions at that time deserves special attention. The absence of antimensions significantly limited the influence of the ruling bishops on the clergy of their regions.</jats:p>
