Green Bonds and Fintech Innovations

<jats:p>The transition toward net-zero economies highlights the need for scalable climate financing, positioning green bonds as key instruments in sustainable finance. However, challenges such as information asymmetry, costly verification, and greenwashing constrain their effectiveness. This study examines how FinTech integration addresses inefficiencies in disclosure quality, market connectivity, and overall growth within the green bond market. Adopting a qualitative multi-method approach, the study draws on information asymmetry, market failure, signalling, diffusion of innovation, and just transition theories. It introduces the development–integrity paradox and proposes the Integrated Sustainable Finance Ecosystem (ISFE), combining digital platforms, regulatory frameworks, and institutional mechanisms. The findings indicate that FinTech enhances transparency, streamlines validation processes, broadens market participation, and raises emerging governance concerns.</jats:p>
