Kadınlara Yönelik Sosyal Hizmet Uygulamaları: Şönim Örneği

<jats:p>Sosyal hizmetin önemli çalışma alanlarından birisi olan kadına yönelik şiddet, ülkemizde giderek artış göstermektedir. Kadına yönelik şiddet, sadece bireye ait bir sorun olarak değil aynı zamanda toplumun önemli bir sosyal sorunu olarak değerlendirilmekte ve kabul edilmektedir. Bu durum da Türkiye’de şiddetin önlenmesi için sosyal politikaların geliştirilmesini akabinde şiddetle mücadele eden, şiddete maruz kalan bireylerin başvuru yapabildiği ve takiplerinin yapıldığı kuruluşların açılmasını zorunlu kılmıştır. Bu doğrultuda Türkiye’de bütün illerde Şiddet Önleme ve İzleme Merkezleri (ŞÖNİM) açılmıştır. Bu bağlamda bu bölümde öncelikle ŞÖNİM’in yapılanmasına değinilerek sonrasında sırasıyla, ŞÖNİM’in temel ilke ve çalışma esasları, ŞÖNİM’de sunulan hizmetler, ŞÖNİM’de hizmet sunulan kitle, ŞÖNİM’in hukuksal çerçevesi, ŞÖNİM’lerde sosyal hizmet müdahalesi başlıklarına yer verilmiş ve en son olarak da şiddet mağduru bir kadının ŞÖNİM’e başvurusu sonrasında sosyal hizmet müdahalesinin gerçekleştirildiği bir olgu değerlendirilmiştir. Domestic violence, one of the key areas of social work, is on the rise in our country. Violence against women is not only considered a problem belonging to the individual but also recognised as a significant social problem for society. This situation has necessitated the development of social policies to prevent violence in Turkey, followed by the establishment of organisations that combat violence, to which individuals exposed to violence can apply and whose cases are followed up. In line with this, Violence Prevention and Monitoring Centres (ŞÖNİM) have been established in all provinces across Turkey. In this context, this section first addresses the structure of ŞÖNİM, followed by the following: the fundamental principles and working principles of ŞÖNİM, the services offered at ŞÖNİM, the target audience served by ŞÖNİM, the legal framework of ŞÖNİM, and social service intervention at ŞÖNİM. Finally, a case study is presented in which social service intervention was carried out following the application of a woman who was a victim of violence to ŞÖNİM.</jats:p>
