Abstract
<jats:p>The article is focused on examining the artistic conception of the image of Joan of Arc in the operatic tradition of the late 18th and 19th centuries. It explores the literary prerequisites for the formation of this image, as well as the key stages of its musical and theatrical interpretation within Western European and Russian cultural contexts.
