Abstract

This article examines the development of landscape design in Russian agriculture, focusing on subtropical fruit crops such as persimmon. It emphasizes the integration of aesthetics into agronomy, particularly in Western countries, where renowned designers such as Beatrice Shatto and Christopher Lloyd successfully combine agricultural crops with decorative elements. Due to its frost resistance, persimmon thrives in southern regions of Russia, such as the Krasnodar Krai. Climatic and environmental factors, including heat supply, are important for its cultivation. Mapping microzones will help optimize persimmon cultivation, drawing on both international and domestic research. The study highlights the need for further research and practical application of persimmon in landscape design in southern Russia, opening up new opportunities for agronomists and designers and promoting the creation of resilient ecosystems in the face of climate change. It is also important to study the compatibility of persimmon with other plants and effective methods for its introduction to expand its growing range
