Abstract
<jats:p>The article considers the issue of ensuring the successful development of modern organizations through organizational design. It is emphasized that thoughtful organizational design should help the organization adapt to changes in the external and internal environment, contribute to the achievement of strategic goals and increase the flexibility and efficiency of activities. The need to form and/or improve the organizational structure in accordance with the organization's strategy and adhere to the principle of "strategy determines structure" is emphasized. The need to transform the approaches of modern organizations to organizational design is substantiated. It is revealed that the largest changes in organizational structures are currently experienced by domestic organizations operating in the following sectors: technology companies and e-commerce, financial, pharmaceutical and medical, manufacturing, retail, and the service sector. It is revealed that domestic organizations are changing their organizational structures to: increase resilience and flexibility in war conditions; introduce new technologies; reduce risks caused by social challenges; adapt to global standards and legislation. It was found that modern business organizations are characterized by the following trends in the field of organizational structure transformation: orientation towards creating a horizontal structure; orientation towards creating a mobile, flexible structure. The main problems in the field of organizational design for domestic organizations during strategic changes are: increasing security to protect confidential information; changes in demand that require changes in strategy and business processes; limited resources; changes in legislation, regulatory environment in wartime; restrictions on the delivery of goods, which is reflected in the logistics chain, problems with market accessibility; instability of the external environment, risks, stress among employees, which requires effective management of team relations; shortage of employees, loss of employees.</jats:p>
