Abstract
<jats:p>The article develops theoretical and methodological foundations for integrated IT business structures by interpreting them as digital ecosystems for sustainable development, in which performance depends not merely on the formal consolidation of assets or functions but on the participants’ ability to coordinate data, knowledge, technologies, innovation projects, and value-creation mechanisms. The purpose of the study is to substantiate the architecture of an integrated IT structure that combines organizational integration, digital interaction, joint innovation, sustainability, and resilience. The methodological framework includes systems and ecosystem approaches, comparative analysis, structural-logical modeling, content analysis of recent academic publications and policy materials, and expert-oriented typology. The study demonstrates that horizontal, vertical, conglomerate, network, and platform-ecosystem forms of integration differ substantially in their ability to generate economies of scale, provide access to complementary competencies, enable technological interoperability, diversify risks, and accelerate innovation. A five-component architecture of a digital ecosystem for integrated IT business is proposed. It comprises structural-coordination, digital-data, innovation-cooperation, sustainable-value, and resilience-security contours. The scientific novelty lies in moving from a static classification of integration forms to a maturity-profile model in which each integrated structure is assessed by the coherence of roles and decision rights, interoperability of digital architecture and data governance, intensity of collaborative innovation, measurability of sustainability and ESG effects, and the ability to maintain operational continuity under shocks. It is argued that this approach is particularly relevant for Ukraine’s IT sector, which combines a strong export role in computer services with persistent institutional, security, energy, and human capital risks. The proposed model also clarifies that resilience should be treated as an architectural property of an ecosystem rather than as an emergency response function. The practical value of the findings consists in their applicability to the design of alliances, clusters, corporate groups, platform partnerships, joint R&D programs, and internal maturity audits of integrated IT structures. Further research should empirically test the framework on Ukrainian IT companies, identify sector-specific weights for its components, and examine how different governance configurations influence sustainable innovation performance under conditions of high uncertainty.
