MAX TEGMARK'S MATHEMATICAL UNIVERSE: WHEN PARADOX IS THE ANSWER

<jats:p>This article explores Max Tegmark's mathematical universe hypothesis (MUH). It examines how this hypothesis offers a radical resolution to Wigner's paradox regarding the inconceivable effectiveness of mathematics. The main tenets of the MUH are analyzed: the external physical reality postulate (ERH), the identification of physical reality with an abstract mathematical structure, and the idea of a "self-aware substructure" (SAS). The ontological implications of the theory are presented, including a four-level hierarchy of multiverses. Particular attention is given to a critique of the hypothesis in the context of Gödel's theorems and contemporary debates in the philosophy of physics</jats:p>
