Abstract
<jats:p>The paper presents the theoretical and technological aspects of the hot-rolled steel ring rolling process. It discusses the use of steel rings in industry and the main methods of manufacturing them, which include machining, casting, and forming. Based on specialized literature, an analysis of the state of the issue in terms of the implementation conditions of the steel ring rolling process was carried out. Own results of theoretical and experimental research on the rolling process of rings made of 1.0503 (C45) steel were presented. The theoretical analysis of the assumed ways of rolling steel rings was carried out based on numerical simulations using the finite element method. Studies of the accuracy of computational results have shown that numerical simulations have limited applicability to the analysis of the ring rolling process.
