Abstract
<jats:p>The article reveals the educational potential of the academic discipline “Educating Primary School Children in Interest-Based Children’s Associations” in the professional training of future bachelors of primary education. The role of interest-based children’s associations as an important environment for socialization and personal development of primary school children is analyzed. The purpose, objectives, and content of the discipline are outlined, and the main forms and methods of organizing the educational process during its study are identified. The importance of interactive teaching methods, project-based activities, analysis of pedagogical situations, and group work in the formation of professional competencies of future primary school teachers is substantiated. It is noted that the pedagogical potential of the discipline lies in combining theoretical training with practical experience in organizing the activities of children’s associations, which contributes to the development of professional readiness of future teachers to carry out educational activities in primary school.</jats:p>
