Identification of musculoskeletal disorders among workers at a manufacturer of illuminated advertising signs in Saucillo, Chihuahua

<jats:p>The study analyzes ergonomic risks in the manufacture of illuminated signs at a printing plant in Chihuahua. Using the Nordic Standards Questionnaire, it was found that 90% of workers suffer from work-related pain, primarily affecting their arms, neck, and feet. Lifting objects and awkward postures are the main causes of symptoms such as cramps and insomnia. The assessment using the REBA method yielded a final score of 8, classifying the activity as “High” risk. It is concluded that it is urgent to redesign the workstations, suggesting the use of adjustable tables to mitigate extreme twisting and bending, thereby preventing permanent musculoskeletal injuries among staff.</jats:p>
