Abstract
<jats:p>The article is devoted to current issues of assessing and improving the activities of the state fire supervision bodies (SFSB) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the context of reforming the system of control and supervisory activities. The article examines the main problems and ways to improve the efficiency of the State Fire Supervision Service, including the development and application of modern performance indicators, improvement of management decision-making processes, and the implementation of a risk-based approach to fire prevention. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of the activities of investigative bodies within the framework of the State Fire Supervision and the tasks of reducing damage from fires and protecting the lives of citizens, property, and valuables protected by law. The purpose of the article is to analyze the current performance of the State Fire Service, identify problems and suggest ways of improvement, such as developing new performance indicators, Optimizing inspections, implementing modern prevention methods, enhancing employee professionalism, and adapting to changes in legislation to reduce the number of fires and minimize damage, protecting people and property.</jats:p>
