Abstract

<jats:p>This study measured evapotranspiration of invasive Phragmites in Utah’s Great Salt Lake using eddy covariance, finding annual ET of 33.58 inches, lower than previous estimates due to salinity stress. Satellite models overestimated ET by 22.8–48.1%. Results highlight salinity effects, VPD sensitivity, and operational challenges, informing water management and future research.</jats:p>
