Abstract

Following the presentation of the first edition of this monograph on Poland’s investment attractiveness, prepared by the SGH Warsaw School of Economics for the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos in January 2026, I am pleased to share this updated version with the participants of the Impact’26 Congress in Poznań. At the beginning of 2026, the global economic environment was further shaped by a renewed security shock arising from the Middle East conflict involving Iran, underscoring the persistent vulnerability of international markets to geopolitical instability. These developments have heightened uncertainty across energy markets, global supply chains and investment flows, reinforcing the importance of resilience, diversification and institutional stability as key determinants of investment attractiveness.
