Abstract

The article examines the role of social entrepreneurship tools in ensuring the sustainable development of Ukraine's HoReCa sector under conditions of wartime challenges, economic instability, labour shortages, and structural transformations within the hospitality industry. The relevance of implementing socially oriented business models is substantiated as an effective mechanism for increasing the adaptability, resilience, and long-term competitiveness of hospitality enterprises in times of crisis and post-war recovery. The current state of the Ukrainian HoReCa sector is analysed, taking into account the consequences of military aggression, infrastructure destruction, business relocation, changing consumer behaviour, and workforce shortages. Based on statistical data, it is established that the hospitality sector is predominantly represented by small businesses and individual entrepreneurs, creating favourable conditions for the implementation of social entrepreneurship initiatives and community-oriented business models. As a result of the research, a conceptual model of the influence of social entrepreneurship tools on the sustainable development of the HoReCa sector is proposed. The model illustrates the relationship between an enterprise's social mission, the implementation of social entrepreneurship instruments, operational business transformation, and the achievement of sustainable economic, social, and reputational outcomes. The proposed framework demonstrates that social entrepreneurship should be considered not merely as an element of corporate social responsibility but as a strategic mechanism for transforming hospitality enterprises, modernising the HoReCa sector, and supporting Ukraine's post-war economic recovery. The practical significance of the research lies in the possibility of applying the proposed approaches in the development of sustainable growth strategies for hospitality enterprises, regional development programs, and post-war economic recovery initiatives in Ukraine. The findings also highlight the importance of further research aimed at developing methodologies for assessing the social impact of HoReCa enterprises, integrating ESG approaches into hospitality management practices, and investigating regional models of socially oriented hospitality to strengthen the sector's long-term sustainability and social value.
