СУЧАСНІ ТЕНДЕНЦІЇ УПРАВЛІННЯ СТАЛИМ РОЗВИТКОМ ТЕРИТОРІАЛЬНИХ ГРОМАД В УКРАЇНІ, CURRENT TRENDS IN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT OF TERRITORIAL COMMUNITIES IN UKRAINE

<jats:p>The article explores the methodological frameworks and contemporary trends in the sustainable development management of territorial communities in Ukraine amidst ongoing military challenges, financial instability, and post-war recovery requirements. Employing systemic and comparative approaches, the study provides a comprehensive multidimensional analysis of economic, social, and environmental dimensions across three municipal entities within the Lviv region varying in scale: Novokalynivska, Rudkivska, and Drohobytska territorial communities. Utilizing strategic analysis tools, including comprehensive SWOT profiling, PESTEL analysis, stakeholder assessment, and spatial modeling, the research evaluates core internal capabilities, institutional resources, vulnerabilities, and macro-environmental factors directly shifting local governance efficiency. The researcher pays special attention to identifying the strategic role of substantial land assets as foundational assets for stimulating agrarian diversification, driving localization of smart-economic growth, and forming localized agricultural processing clusters. Concurrently, the paper analyzes the uneven patterns of digitalization, institutional transparency, and cross-border cooperation within the examined municipalities, highlighting Drohobytska territorial community as a model for successful implementation of smart city solutions and integrated energy management structures. Conversely, smaller agrarian-service communities like Novokalynivska and Rudkivska demonstrate initial phases of baseline sustainability integration, constrained by diminished fiscal autonomy and weak civic engagement. The empirical findings justify that accelerating localized sustainable progress heavily depends on transition from fragmented municipal interventions toward a unified socio-ecological ecosystem. This model relies on structured public-private partnerships, cross-border initiative frameworks, and multi-sectoral collaboration involving local authorities, agricultural businesses, and civil society to build long-term regional resilience.</jats:p>
