Abstract
<jats:p>The article is devoted to a comprehensive theoretical and methodological analysis and systemic identification of the evolutionary stages in the development of enterprise strategic management concepts within the context of a large-scale transformation of the modern macroeconomic, technological, and competitive environment. Under conditions of intensifying global turbulence, accelerating digitalization processes, and growing levels of uncertainty, traditional model-based approaches to formulating long-term plans for economic entities lose their effectiveness, creating an urgent need to rethink scientific management paradigms. The aim of the research is a systemic chronological and content-based systematization of the evolutionary stages of enterprise strategic management concepts, the identification of key drivers behind the shift in strategic paradigms under the influence of industrial and digital transformations, as well as the substantiation of conceptual and applied foundations for modern agile, digital, and ecosystem-based strategic management. In the process of conducting the scientific study, a set of general scientific and specialized methods of cognition was applied: historical-logical method and chronological analysis – to identify the sequence, cause-and-effect relationships, and sources of transformation of strategic concepts; analysis and synthesis, scientific abstraction, induction, and deduction – to clarify the conceptual and categorical framework and the content of modern paradigms; systemic-structural and complementary approaches – to study the components of strategic potential, internal resources, and external capabilities of business entities; comparative-typological analysis and classification method – to systematize scientific schools of strategic thinking, their analytical tools, and management focuses; tabular and graphical modeling methods – to summarize and visually present the evolutionary matrix of strategic management development. The genesis and logic of the transformation of strategic thinking have been investigated, tracing the path from early formal models of budgetary control to modern network and digital concepts. Five key stages in the evolution of strategic management have been identified and detailed: 1) budgeting and controlling; 2) long-term and extrapolative planning; 3) M. Porter's market positioning and competitive forces school; 4) resource-based view (RBV) and D. Teece's dynamic capabilities theory; 5) the concept of digital, agile (Agile Strategy), and ecosystem strategy formation. It is proven that the current stage of management development is characterized by a shift in managerial focus from formulating a static document-based plan toward ensuring continuous organizational adaptability, rapid business model reconfiguration, and constant development of intellectual assets. Three leading vectors of modern strategic process transformation have been outlined: digitalization of analytical tools based on predictive analytics (Data-Driven Strategy); transitioning from standalone competition to operating within cross-industry business ecosystems ("Co-opetition"); and cultivating strategic resilience and business agility under conditions of ongoing exogenous shocks. Scientific novelty of the obtained results lies in the deepening of theoretical and methodological foundations of enterprise strategic management through the construction of a holistic evolutionary-paradigmatic matrix. Unlike existing approaches, this matrix integrates the fundamental achievements of the resource-based view with the requirements of the modern digital economy, ecosystem interaction, and the concept of agile strategy formation (Agile Strategy). The conceptual and categorical framework has been further developed regarding the clarification of the essence of the "Living Strategy" phenomenon and the definition of enterprise strategic resilience, while the classification framework for assessing the strategic potential of business entities in a highly turbulent environment has been expanded. Practical significance of the results lies in the applicability of the formulated scientific principles and systematized analytical toolkit for restructuring the strategic management framework of domestic enterprises during post-crisis recovery and transformation.</jats:p>
