Abstract
The subject of the study is a review of existing additive manufacturing and repair methods for aircraft parts. The relevance of the study is due to the lack of effective technologies for rapid production and repair of aircraft parts. Currently, the introduction of additive technologies in the aerospace industry is driven by the need to reduce structural mass and improve material efficiency. For traditional manufacturing methods, the material utilization factor is 5-10%. At the same time, additive methods can significantly reduce material losses, bringing the material utilization factor to 0.5–0.8 depending on the geometry of the part and the selected technology. However, each of the additive methods has inherent disadvantages in the form of surface and volumetric defects: porosity, residual stresses, anisotropy, microcracks, surface waviness, geometric deviations, non-fusion between layers, metal splashes. Accordingly, there is a need for post-processing of the surfaces of parts. The purpose of the work is to investigate the possibility of using cold gas-dynamic spraying for post-processing of parts to repair defects and modify the surface layer. The scientific novelty lies in the substantiation of a new approach to post-processing of parts manufactured by additive methods, which is based on the use of kinetic energy of particles in the process of cold gas-dynamic spraying to eliminate typical surface defects of additive manufacturing, the formation of a given set of physical and mechanical properties, and the restoration of a given geometry of the part. The practical significance lies in the fact that the results of the study can serve as a basis for developing hybrid technological processes, in which additive manufacturing is responsible for forming complex geometry with minimal mass, and CS is responsible for imparting the necessary physical and mechanical properties. The use of gas-dynamic spraying for post-processing and restoration allows you to minimize defects, as well as avoid the need to re-manufacture parts.
