Ionospheric irregularity maps and geophysical data for the September 2017 and August 2018 geomagnetic storms

<jats:p>The dataset contains geophysical parameters and ionospheric irregularity maps in the IGS ROTI format, documenting periods of major geomagnetic storms in September 2017 and August 2018. The data illustrate the spatial distribution of plasma disturbances in the MLAT-MLT coordinate system for high and middle latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere. The collection serves as reference and validation material for the first detections of ionospheric irregularities recorded by GPS receivers on GOES geostationary satellites.</jats:p>
