Abstract
The presented publication is the first comprehensive study of The Catalogue of the Archbishops of Gniezno by Jan Długosz (died 1480), who was one of the most eminent Polish historians of the Middle Ages. The author of the monograph analyses both the content and form of the source, its manuscript tradition from the 15th–17th centuries, presenting the work as a testimony to Długosz's historical memory. The book deepens the knowledge about the chronicler's writing skills and makes an innovative attempt to apply memory studies to research on old eras.
