Abstract

<p>This chapter briefly defines the terms food craving and food addiction and describes the most common assessment methods. These include self-report instruments such as the Food Cravings Questionnaires, the Food Craving Inventory, the Craving Experience Questionnaire, and the Yale Food Addiction Scale as well as interview measures such as the Food Addiction Symptom Inventory. It concludes by highlighting the overlaps between food craving measures and measures of food addiction as well as related constructs.</p>
