Abstract

The increasing complexity of naturalistic experiments requires advanced analytical methods, with the regression-based event-related potential (rERP) framework emerging as a promising tool for flexible, single-trial EEG analysis. Alongside methodological progress, the Brain Imaging Data Structure (BIDS) has revolutionized data sharing by standardizing file organization and enabling seamless integration across tools and pipelines. However, bridging these advancements, rERP modeling and BIDS-compliant datasets, typically requires cumbersome custom scripting, limiting reproducibility and efficiency. Here, we introduce UnfoldBIDS.jl, a Julia package that integrates BIDS-structured datasets with the rERP capabilities of Unfold.jl, streamlining the analysis of large-scale EEG datasets. The package simplifies analyses of BIDS-datasets, allows for preprocessing using MNE-python, returns tidy datasets for visualization or further statistical analysis and includes both documentation and tutorials.
