Abstract

<p>In the context of the Russo-Ukrainian war, the Canadian government has employed the Special Economic Measures Act to seize certain Russian assets. This article argues that various aspects of the Special Economic Measures Act legislative regime may be impermissible under international law, concluding that there are other policy measures that Ottawa can employ to support Ukraine.</p>
