Ten simple rules for developing and operating a community-driven portal to accelerate research (especially during a crisis)

<p>Community-driven portals are websites that can act to facilitate the coordination of community efforts, enable bidirectional data flow, facilitate access to resources (e.g. data services and guidelines), and promote best practice. Web portals were considered crucial for accelerating research during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this article, we share our experiences and lessons learned from the development and operation of a community-driven portal, summarised as ten simple rules.</p>
