Abstract

<jats:p>The methodical recommendation provides a brief description of gnus (blood-sucking diptera insects) and ixodid ticks – pasture ectoparasites of cattle, which are common in the North-Western region of Ukraine. An assessment of the effectiveness of methods for catching and recording insects and ticks is provided. Modern methods of controlling the gnus and ticks using insectoacaricides registered in Ukraine are recommended. Intended for veterinary medicine specialists of farms, laboratories, students of postgraduate study faculties, teachers and higher education applicants in the specialty 211 – Veterinary Medicine.</jats:p>
