Abstract
<jats:p>This monograph presents a scientific rationale for the formation of chernozems under the influence of long-term application of soil-conserving minimum tillage in agrocenoses. Principles of self-regulation in the reproduction of natural soil formation processes have been formulated, and it has been demonstrated that the conditions for facies-specific humus accumulation in chernozems, under long-term application of soil-conserving tillage, may shift towards chernozems of more humid facies, and thanks to the tillage system, it is possible to manage the pattern of facies-specific humus accumulation in chernozems both towards increasing the aridity of soil conditions and towards enhancing the water-saturated soil layer, which, over time, enhances the reproduction of the natural soil formation process in agrocenoses and ensures the enhanced restoration of chernozem fertility in the agrocenoses of the Central Forest-Steppe of Ukraine.
