Abstract
<jats:p>The monograph covers the life and work of Academician H. M. Vysotskyi. Through a comprehensive study, it reveals the conditions under which his scientific worldview was formed. The main stages of his life and creative career are described, and little-known and previously unknown facts from H. M. Vysotskyi's biography and activities are summarized and introduced into scholarly circulation. To deepen the historical and analytical study, a periodization of the scholar's life and scientific work has been developed. The main areas of his research are analyzed: steppe and field-protective afforestation, agroforestry reclamation, soil science, soil hydrology, typology of vegetation cover, climatology, and geobotany. Intended for educators, researchers, and all those interested in the history of national agrarian science.</jats:p>
