Abstract
<jats:p>The publication outlines the life path and main stages of educational, scientific and organizational activities of Tomasz Rylsky – a famous scientist, teacher, organizer of the scientific formation of agricultural engineering in the territory of modern Ukraine and Poland. Professor T. Rylsky with his creative work made a significant contribution to the development of domestic agricultural science in general and the formation of a system for testing agricultural machinery in particular. The main scientific interests of the scientist were the following issues: agricultural construction, agricultural mechanics, testing of agricultural machines and tools, and the use of technical means for agricultural production. The scientist is the author of more than eighty scientific and popular science works, the organizer of the first experimental testing station of agricultural machines and tools in the territory of modern Ukraine.</jats:p>
