Abstract
The article examines the creative work of the Ulch poetess Maria Petrovna Dechuli (b. 1951). The aim of the research is to identify the features of the artistic representation of floral images in her poetry (based on the collection "Pre-Winter", 2003). The scientific novelty of the work lies in the fact that, for the first time, the features of semantics, poetics, and functioning of floral images in M. P. Dechuli's poetic system are investigated. The systematization of biographical materials about the Ulch poetess also possesses substantial novelty, as her creative work has not previously been the subject of a systematic literary study and is practically unknown. The analysis of the poetic material made it possible to prove that in the artistic world of the Far Eastern author, floral images occupy an important place and perform three functions: as part of tropes, as constituent details of a geopoetic picture, and as elements of a symbolic-poetic reflection of the world. The paper shows that phytonyms associated with the nature of the Far East (wild rosemary, iris, fireweed, snowdrop, saranka) help convey the natural color of the region. Special attention in the article is paid to the folklore tradition in the use of floral images. Based on numerous examples from M. P. Dechuli's poetry, the paper proves that floral images contribute to the formation of her unique poetic worldview.
