Abstract
The aim of the study is to identify and theoretically substantiate the conditions under which scientific and methodological support will lead the director’s advisor for upbringing to an understanding of scientific regularities and to the development of their own strategic position for implementing the region‑specific features of upbringing. The region, as a space of active human life, contributes to the natural inclusion of the child in the culture, values, and relations of the peoples and communities inhabiting that territory. Scientific and methodological support for the actualization of regional specifics of upbringing involves creating conditions in which directors’ advisors for upbringing begin to focus on the meanings, values, and trends of the identity of national or territorial communities; engage in independent methodological inquiry; and develop and defend their own position on integrating regional and all‑Russian contexts of upbringing. The scientific novelty of the study consists in developing the principle of scientific rigor in methodological support, ensuring the non‑contradictory and enriching character of the all‑Russian and regional aspects of upbringing. The study established that the conditions for successful scientific and methodological support for actualizing regional specifics of upbringing and for ensuring its compatibility with all‑Russian approaches are: the agentive stance of all participants in the support process; recognition of the value of regional particularities of upbringing and of the sovereignty of upbringing; and a set of actions by support agents directed at learning about, engaging with, and defending national or regional traditions and values among learners, as well as promoting socially significant youth initiatives in local communities. The study demonstrates the advisability of using scientific and methodological support to actualize regional specifics of upbringing; it details the component elements, substantiates the sequence, and proposes a set of actions for the agents of scientific and methodological support that ensure identification and inclusion of national and regional identity in learners’ upbringing.
