Abstract
<jats:p>The textbook is devoted to the issues of the strategic direction of the organizational and economic development of smart cities. The economic component of their development and creation is considered. The work considers the experience of implementing the program of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation “Smart City”, the Moscow program “Moscow-2030 - Smart City” and foreign programs for the construction of smart cities, the prospects for their development. The issues of applying generative artificial intelligence in the creation of smart cities, as well as in various spheres of the national economy are considered: the system of higher education, business and other industries. The results of AI development in 2024 and prospects for 2025 are summarized. The textbook was written taking into account the requirements of the educational programs of RSUH and is intended for students of higher educational institutions studying in the direction 38.03.04. “State and Municipal Administration” (qualification “bachelor”), focus “Smart City Management” and (master's level), focus “Management of the development of a modern metropolis”. It can also be used by students, master's students, postgraduate students studying in the specialty “State and Municipal Administration”, as well as specialists working in government bodies and municipal authorities.</jats:p>
