Abstract
<jats:p>We present a dataset of cyclic voltammograms (CVs) for single-crystal metal electrodes, one of the most important benchmark techniques for experimental and theoretical electrochemistry of electrode-electrolyte interfaces. The dataset contains about 350 CVs, mostly for transition metals recorded in aqueous electrolytes (ca. 300 entries, including electrocatalytic measurements) and ionic liquids (ca. 50 entries). Each entry is stored as a frictionless-based Data Package, which consists of a CSV file (the CV data) and a JSON file (metadata). The latter describes the columns in the CSV (including units and reference potential scales) and the metadata describing the origin of the CV (curation process, electrolyte, electrodes, electrochemical cell, …). The data were either manually extracted from published works using svgdigitizer (for figures), and metadata stored as YAML (from the PDF text body), or submitted as CSV and YAML by one of the original authors directly into an open repository. The dataset can either be explored online at www.echemdb.org/cv or accessed directly with the unitpackage Python API. This standardized, machine-readable collection enables systematic comparison of electrochemical data across publications, preparation methods, and experimental conditions, and serves as a resource for reuse in computational approaches.</jats:p>
