Assessment of the company's readiness for digital transformation: criteria and indicators

<jats:p>The objective of the article is to develop a comprehensive approach to assessing an enterprise’s readiness for digital transformation, taking into account the specifics of Russian state-owned companies. The paper substantiates the choice of state corporations as the object of the study, which is due to their strategic role in the national economy, a significant amount of resources and regulatory requirements in the field of digitalization. A review of modern domestic and foreign studies is conducted, key approaches to defining and measuring readiness are identified, including digital maturity models and digital readiness indices. A system of seven criteria (strategic, personnel, technological, organizational, resource, operational readiness and digital potential) with a set of quantitative indicators for each is proposed. To assess the level of readiness, it is proposed to use an integral index calculated on the basis of normalized subindices and weighting factors. Using the example of Russian Railways, a SWOT analysis was conducted and an integral readiness index was calculated, which made it possible to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the company and determine key areas of development. The results obtained can serve as a methodological basis for developing tools for assessing the state of readiness for digital transformation of enterprises.</jats:p>
